Job Description

Truck Mechanics / Truck Diagnostic Mechanics / Trailer Mechanics  

We're looking for Mechanics - Truck / Diagnostic & Trailer - with more than 4 years of experience to work for a truck & bus company in Ireland. 

General requirements:

  • Experience working with truck and/or buses
  • Experience working with Scania vehicles is a plus.
  • Experience repairing, re building and/or replacing engine parts. 
  • Certificate of courses or studies related to the position.
  • English -not required- (it would be good if you have at least a basic level in the technical part).

Conditions:

  • Permanent contract, with a trial period of 3 months. In case of failure in that trial period, your contract will be terminated.
  • 200 hours average per month.
  • The workshop works from Monday to Friday, in two shifts:
    • Morning shift: from 8 am to 4 pm
    • Afternoon shift: from 1 pm to 9 pm
    • The workshop works on Saturdays from 8 am to 4 pm.
      Your shift will be assigned by your supervisor at the time you start work.
    • Workplace: The workshop is located in Portlaoise, Co. Laois, Ireland

  • Travel expenses: The accommodation provided by the employer is close to the workshop, travel expenses not covered.

  • Holidays: 20 paid days per year, available after 6 months on the job.
  • Tickets: The employer will pay a one-way ticket. The return ticket to their country of origin (whatever the reason) is the responsibility of the employee.
