The role

Applicants must possess prior Solar Panel installation experience. The role involves coordination with a roofer and a GO for Solar Panel installation within a construction environment, so the ability to work collaboratively within a team context is essential.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Install, wire, and commission solar panel systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients in compliance with industry standards and safety guidelines
  • Collaborate with project teams to plan and execute solar panel installations, ensuring proper placement, wiring, and integration with existing electrical systems
  • Conduct site assessments to determine the optimal location and orientation of solar panels based on sun exposure and electrical requirements
  • Perform system tests to verify the functionality, performance, and efficiency of solar panel installations
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to solar panel systems, including faulty wiring, connections, or components.

Requirements and Experience:

 

  • Proven experience as an Electrician with a focus on Solar Panel Installation.
  • Level 6 craft certificate (equivalent if outside Ireland) in electrical
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuitry, and components
  • Experience in assessing sites for solar panel installations, including determining sun exposure and electrical load requirements
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and solar panel schematics
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain electrical tools and equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations relevant to solar panel installations

Contract Type

  • Permanent / Full – Time
  • 40 hours per week - possibility to work 4 days at 10 hours per day if you are interested.
  • More hours are available
