Key Responsibilities

  • Overhaul of all types and manufactures of Low and High Voltage motors / generators
  • Service, maintain, and repair all types and manufactures High Voltage AIS equipment
  • Form part of a crew installing / removing all types and manufactures High Voltage AIS equipment and associated Bus Bars
  • To use all equipment correctly and appropriately in order to follow company policies and procedures
  • Debug assemblies and machines by identifying and correcting problems affecting proper operation
  • Carry out preventative maintenance work on plant
  • Ability to meet deadlines and goals and help with reaching team targets
  • Make sure that incident follow-ups are resolved and documented
  • Minimise the downtime on all equipment to ensure fast and accurate root cause analysis with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Document all issues and reports accordingly and provide elimination of recurring equipment problems

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • A recognised Electrical / Mechanical apprenticeship
  • Advanced electrical and mechanical aptitude
  • Strong engineering background in a similar environment
  • Knowledge and experience in the principles of quality assurance, quality control and health and safety legislation
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt

Salary: 23.72 p/h
