Job Description
Trailer Fitter – BRIDGEND
We are currently recruiting for the position of Trailer Fitter for maintenance of our extensive trailer fleet. This position reports to the Maintenance Service Manager.
Responsibilities
- Diagnosis and repair of trailers
- Carry out weekly inspections of vehicles
- Carry out preventative planned maintenance/repairs
Required Skills
- Good understanding of MOT standards and DVSA roadworthiness standards
- Understanding of ABS and EBS systems
- Working in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of current legislation
Experience & Education
- Apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in heavy vehicle mechanics, maintenance and repair or equivalent is advantageous
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime opportunities.
Schedule:
- 40-hour week Monday to Friday.
- Overtime as required.
