Job Description

Job Title: Clinic Manager

Location: Co. Wexford

Reporting to: Renal Business Lead

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week, flexible scheduling over 4 days on site)

 

Role Summary:

The Clinic Manager at our clients' clinic in Wexford is responsible for managing and leading the nursing and support teams in the care of patients with renal failure. This position plays a crucial role in supplementing and supporting existing renal services offered in the public health sector, both clinically and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the nursing and support teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage activities and resources within the clinic to meet agreed service levels.
  • Oversee the local operational, quality, and vigilance management of the Renal Dialysis Unit, with support from the Renal Business Lead.
  • Implement and assess standards of patient care, ensuring efficient use of unit resources while maintaining a balance between quality and cost efficiency.
  • Adhere to Hospital Information Quality Authority (HIQA) registered person requirements and comply with local, corporate, and national statutory policies and procedures.
  • Provide effective professional leadership, fostering the development of the unit team and promoting our clients values.

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Finance and Business Management of the Clinic
  • Education and Training planning for the team
  • Quality and Care Management

Essential Criteria:

  • Registered Nurse with the NMBI.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, with a minimum of 3 years in renal care.
  • Completion of the Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Specialist Renal, or willingness to undertake upon commencement of the role.
  • Management Qualification (desirable)
  • Experience in People Management (essential)
  • Demonstrated financial knowledge in relation to healthcare and staffing resources.
