Job Description

Position Overview: We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Support Workers to join our client's team in Waterford on a part-time basis (22 hours p/w). As a Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and assistance to individuals with intellectual disabilities who may require support with daily activities and personal care needs. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others in your community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate and person-centered care.
  • Assist people we support with personal care tasks as required.
  • Support services users with their daily activities, including social activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships that are built around respect and equality, promoting their individual rights and independence.
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and light household tasks if required.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is preferred but not essential.
  • Hold or be in the process of completing minimum QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support.
  • Be in possession of a full, manual driving license, and be willing to drive for work.
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings.
  • Willingness to undergo relevant training and development opportunities.

Salary:

€14.70 - 17.08 per hour (depending on experience)
