Job Title: Agency Dietitian

Location: Limerick, Ireland

Position Type: Locum/Agency working - flexible ad hoc shifts to suit you.

Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dietitian to join our agency team in Limerick. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on an ad hoc basis, with shifts available in both acute and community settings, depending on their preferences and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments of patients/clients to determine dietary needs and develop personalized nutrition plans.
  • Provide evidence-based dietary counseling and education to individuals and groups, addressing various health conditions and dietary requirements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care and effective treatment outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition interventions and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient/client interactions and progress notes.
  • Stay abreast of current research, trends, and best practices in the field of nutrition and dietetics.

Requirements:

  • Registered Dietitian with the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of one year of post-graduation experience in a clinical or community dietetic setting.
  • Eligible to work in Ireland without sponsorship.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient/client care.
