Job Description
Overview
Our client is a leading European contractor specializing in the execution of complex engineering projects across diverse industries, including data centers, life sciences, advanced technology, and healthcare. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrumentation Technician to join their team in Co. Clare, Ireland. This is a contract position for 3 months, with the potential to extend to 1 year.
Responsibilities
- Perform calibration, installation, and maintenance of low voltage (LV) instruments.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydroturbine instrumentation systems.
- Install and maintain control and instrumentation (C&I) cabling.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on instrumentation equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize instrument performance.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems.
- Proficiency in low voltage (LV) instruments and hydroturbine instrumentation systems.
- Working knowledge of control and instrumentation (C&I) cabling practices.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Certification in instrumentation or related field is preferred.
Day-to-day
- Calibrating and testing instrumentation equipment.
- Installing and maintaining C&I cabling.
- Collaborating with engineering and operations teams.
- Troubleshooting and repairing hydroturbine instrumentation systems.
- Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
Work Schedule:
Contract/Full-time, with potential for overtime or on-call shifts depending on project demands.
