Job Description
Our client is a prominent player in the mechanical services industry, delivering high-quality mechanical installations since 1999.
They are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in project execution, from handover meetings and design reviews to commissioning and documentation, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance are met.
Key Responsibilities:

- Participate in initial project handover meetings to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project scope and contribute to the development of the Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS) documentation.
- Conduct design assessments and implement value engineering strategies based on project specifications, ensuring all insights are thoroughly documented.
- Collaborate in the creation of a detailed project work schedule.
- Partner with the Procurement Manager to evaluate and approve Plant Packages prior to purchase.
- Work closely with the Site Manager/Project Manager to coordinate mechanical services and construction drawings.
- Oversee the management and delivery of quality-assured documentation.
- Handle document control processes, including Drawings, RFIs, Technical Submissions Log, Schedules, and QA Documentation.
- Provide support to site management in handling project variations as needed.
- Contribute to the preparation and finalization of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) documentation.
- Assist in the commissioning phase by helping to develop and revise commissioning schedules, coordinating the attendance of specialized subcontractors and suppliers, managing their commissioning activities, and ensuring all relevant certifications are uploaded to designated file-sharing platforms and included in the O&M documentation.
- Ensure all work is conducted following internal guidelines and procedures, in compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience, with a strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Design.
- Proficient in CAD, BIM, and other relevant software.
- Strong IT skills, combined with excellent communication abilities.
- Exceptional analytical and numerical skills, with the capacity to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in managing project controls throughout the project lifecycle.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Familiarity with energy systems and energy efficiency analysis is a plus.
- Experience working directly with clients is an advantage.
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Salary: €80,000.00 - €100,000.00 DOE
