Senior Estimator/Estimating Manager

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator/Estimating Manager with a strong background in mechanical estimating to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are accurately costed, competitive, and profitable.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire tendering process from initiation to conclusion.
• Compile precise and well-organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner.
• Ensure tenders are submitted and processed on time, follow up on tenders and documents, and record any feedback.
• Issue tender queries and prepare tender reports.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Oversee the maintenance of the cost database.
• Build and maintain relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, etc.).
• Stay informed of developments in the industry.
• Participate in the development of procedures to ensure a high standard of quality control in the documents produced by the Estimating Department.
• Manage and mentor members of the Estimating Team.

Desired Criteria:

• 4+ years of mechanical estimating experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and at least one widely used estimating platform.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.
• Ability to identify potential risks on a project.
• Motivated and highly dependable individual.
• Excellent numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills.
• A full driver's license is advantageous.

Salary: €70,000.00 - €90,000.00
