- Assist the project team with all coordination deliverables
- Deliver both 3D and 2D outputs as specified by the BIM lead
- Support the BIM lead in creating 2D coordination and installation drawings
- Aid the BIM lead with 3D components required for design and coordination
- Provide support to all stakeholders involved in the BIM process
- Collaborate within a team to ensure efficient project delivery
- Detail 3D components necessary for design and coordination
- Generate 3D model files using Revit and, when necessary, Fabrication CAD
- Produce 2D coordination and installation drawings
- Ensure that detailed model files are coordinated and clash-free by constantly checking against the federated model (every 30 minutes)
- Follow direct instructions from the BIM lead on design matters
- Manage Vault file administration
- Conduct clash detection on submitted files
- Build the federated model daily
- Confirm that all submitted files are in the correct format
- Attend weekly coordination meetings when required
- Assist with clash resolutions on-site
- Verify and prepare layout drawings to comply with contract specifications
- Collaborate with project engineers and management to address issues and explain drawings to production or construction teams, making adjustments as needed
- Produce all verified record drawings
- Perform site surveying and verification, including point cloud scanning and total station operation
- Create all 2D project drawings
- Update and manage all coordination document register and drawings
- Assist with tenders and other drawing requests from the business unit
- Work within a designated project as part of a project team
- Acquire knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems relevant to 3D coordination
- Develop understanding of onsite coordination, fabrication, and construction
- Attend coordination meetings and enhance communication skills
- Prepare to transition to a BIM lead position when opportunities arise and readiness is confirmed by the BIM manager
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or Strong trades background coupled with a BIM qualification
- A minimum of 3+ years’ experience within a BIM Co-ordination function
- Mechanical or Electrical background and have a proven track record in a similar role
- Proven ability to lead a team
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to short deadlines
