Electrical Engineering Manager

Salary: 70 – 100k

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and manage a team of electrical engineers and technicians 
  • Effectively allocate resources to ensure project deadlines are met 
  • Conduct performance reviews and offer professional development opportunities for team members 
  • Offer technical guidance and support to the engineering team 
  • Review and approve electrical designs, drawings, and specifications 
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and national electrical codes and standards 
  • Perform electrical design reviews to identify gaps and contradictions in specifications 
  • Lead Engineering Design and Design Management tasks within an integrated project team 
  • Exhibit strong technical skills in all areas of Electrical Engineering Services and Design 
  • Work proactively and independently without supervision 
  • Design and specify Electrical Engineering Solutions that comply with current regulations and design standards 
  • Collaborate with clients and project engineers to establish project requirements and develop technical solutions 
  • Develop and agree on design processes and deliverables 
  • Oversee Pre-Construction Engineering activities, including design development, construction details, services coordination, technical submittals, and sub-contracts 
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the QA System and execute project reviews 
  • Provide technical support to estimating, procurement, commercial, marketing, and project bid teams 
  • Offer off-site technical support to construction teams on projects 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering,
  • 9-10 Years Relevant experience, ideally in a design consultancy environment,
  • Knowledge & experience of current Design Guides, Codes of Practice, ETCI and or BS7671 Regulations, Building Regulations, EN Standards and IEC Standards, etc,
  • Experience in Amtech, Dialux, Adobe Pro, Autodesk AutoCAD 2D and MS Office Suite Software,
  • Experience of client, vendor & contractor interaction & management,
  • Proactive, a good communicator with the ability to work well with others in a multifunctional project team,
  • Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy
