- Set a strong example in ethics, EHS, cultural sensitivity, diversity, teamwork, and quality behaviours
- Foster close working relationships with cross-functional departments such as Planning, Engineering, Operations, Commissioning, EHS, and supply chain, as well as client stakeholders
- Develop and maintain Project Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans to ensure compliance, while continuously monitoring and updating the quality program as necessary
- Create a project quality program and deliver training to the site team for effective implementation
- Facilitate project lessons learned workshops with the supply chain and project team to address recurring issues
- Implement walkdown planning and two-week lookaheads to measure planned versus actual performance
- Conduct incremental internal audits to verify the implementation of the QMS and Quality Plan
- Support and guide the implementation of the Quality & LEAN Construction Policy
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to planned versus actual outcomes, checklist completion, issues/snags, room readiness, and system/area handover
- Continuously assess the quality program’s effectiveness and support necessary improvements
- Establish a First of Kind/Benchmark program, monitoring installations and progress, ensuring visibility of benchmarks to all project personnel
- Actively identify improvement areas and develop suitable action plans to enhance project performance regarding snags, checklists, supply chain issues, trends, and risks
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent Electrical trade qualification
- 5 years Quality management experience in an Engineering & Construction Environment
- HV / MV Substation, Transmission & Distribution Experience advantageous
- HV /MV Cable Jointing Experience advantageous
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards applicable to the contract scope of works
- Ability to lead root cause analysis techniques and implement corrective actions
- ISO9001 auditor certification and experience
- Knowledge to scope, plan and execute risk review
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Provide technical and professional guidance for teams
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational / planning skills
- Able to create and implement quality control process and procedures
- Travel throughout IRL projects required
