Location: Birr, Co. Offaly, Ireland
Start Date: Monday, 10th August
Salary: €21.50 gross per hour
Hours: 38 hours per week with the opportunity for one additional 8-hour overtime shift

We are currently recruiting up to 10 MIG Welders for a manufacturing project in Ireland. The role involves simple tack welding of light sheet metal and light pipe using welding jigs. This is clean, repetitive production work requiring attention to detail and a good work ethic. Basic TIG welding experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform tack welding using MIG welding equipment.
• Work with welding jigs to assemble components accurately.
• Tack weld light sheet metal ranging from 3mm to 5mm.
• Work on light pipe assemblies where required.
• Maintain high quality standards throughout the production process.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures on site.
• Keep the work area clean and organised.
• Work efficiently as part of a production team.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a MIG Welder.
• Ability to produce clean and accurate tack welds.
• Experience working with light gauge sheet metal.
• Basic TIG welding experience is an advantage but not essential.
• No fabrication experience required.
• No drawing reading required.
• Good attitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a clean manufacturing environment.
