Our client, a leading residential developer, is currently seeking a Building Services Engineer to join their growing team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, high-density residential projects across the Greater Dublin area.

The Role:
As a Building Services Engineer, you will work closely with the Building Services Manager and project teams to oversee the design, coordination, and installation of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) services. You will be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle, from pre-construction coordination to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor the installation and quality of M&E systems on-site.
  • Support site teams with M&E coordination and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure smooth integration with architectural and structural elements.
  • Oversee M&E subcontractors to meet programme and quality standards.
  • Liaise with utility providers, local authorities, and design teams to ensure timely delivery of essential services (electricity, gas, water, telecoms, etc.).
  • Manage any necessary service diversions in collaboration with utility providers.
  • Contribute to innovation and value engineering, focusing on best-in-class mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Oversee the management of temporary site utilities, such as electric and water systems.

About You:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience in a similar project management role.
  • Interest in energy management and emerging trends in residential building services.
  • Relevant trade background is an advantage but not essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Team player with excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of working on your own initiative.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites across the Greater Dublin area.
