Building Services Manager – Residential Construction | Greater Dublin Area

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Building Services Manager to oversee multiple high-profile residential projects across the Greater Dublin Area. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage M&E design teams across several projects, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with project requirements.
• Develop strategic plans and effective look-aheads to ensure smooth integration of M&E systems in line with project delivery timelines.
• Support and advise site management teams on M&E processes, system selection, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Oversee and direct the M&E function across various projects, driving high standards of quality and programme delivery.
• Mentor and coach Building Services Engineers to support their professional development.
• Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to the building services function as project needs arise.
• Ensure continuous quality control of M&E installations from initial coordination through to commissioning and final handover.
• Manage M&E sub-contractors onsite, ensuring works meet programme, budget, and quality targets.
• Contribute to innovation and value engineering processes, promoting the use of cutting-edge mechanical and electrical systems.
• Standardise and manage temporary services designs (electric/water) across projects.
• Collaborate closely with internal Utility Coordinators to manage third-party utility connections.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar project or senior management role.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale construction M&E projects.
• Excellent leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities.
• A natural problem solver with strong attention to detail.
• Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work on your own initiative.
• Strong communicator and relationship builder.
• Committed to innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement in building services.
• Full understanding of general construction processes and principles.
• Full driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites across Greater Dublin.
