About the Role

Crewit Resourcing is seeking an experienced and qualified Carpenter. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of carpentry works across the hospital campus while ensuring minimal disruption to clinical services, staff, patients, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out general carpentry maintenance, repairs, and installation works.
• Install, repair, and maintain doors, frames, locks, partitions, ceilings, flooring, and furniture.
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Work effectively within occupied clinical and non-clinical areas while minimising disruption.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
• Liaise with site management and hospital personnel as required.

Requirements:

• Relevant Carpentry trade qualification/certification (Level 6)
• Proven experience in a Carpenter role.
• Previous experience working in a hospital, healthcare, public sector, or live environment is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Full right to work in Ireland.
• Ability to satisfy pre-employment compliance requirements, including Garda Vetting.

Desirable Experience

• Experience carrying out maintenance works in operational healthcare settings.
• Familiarity with infection prevention and control procedures.
• Experience working in occupied buildings where continuity of service is critical.
