Job Description
Job Title: Civil Engineer
Location: Cork, Ireland
Role Overview
Crewit Resourcing is looking for a Civil Engineer will support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring all works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise day-to-day site engineering activities.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Set out works and ensure construction is carried out in accordance with design requirements.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
- Monitor project progress against programme and report to management.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Assist with procurement and material planning.
- Prepare technical reports, method statements, and site records.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, and local authorities.
- Resolve engineering and construction issues as they arise.
- Support cost control and project delivery objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- 3+ years' experience in civil engineering or reinforced concrete construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, formwork, and concrete works.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Full driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience with ICF construction.
- Knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
- Experience with surveying equipment and setting-out procedures.
- Membership of Engineers Ireland.
