Civil Engineer

Location: Dublin 12, Ireland

Role Overview

The Civil Engineer will support the planning, design, coordination and delivery of civil engineering projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. The role will involve working on major infrastructure, roadworks, earthworks, residential developments, commercial projects and data centre developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise site engineering activities.
• Set out works in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Monitor project progress and report on programme milestones.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Review drawings, technical specifications and method statements.
• Conduct surveys and support earthworks and excavation activities.
• Assist with project planning, procurement and resource management.
• Prepare technical reports, site records and as-built documentation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities and project stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction issues.
• Support continuous improvement and value engineering initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years' experience in civil engineering or construction projects.
• Experience in roads, earthworks, drainage, utilities, infrastructure or residential developments.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, GPS surveying equipment and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of Irish construction standards and health & safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Desired Skills

• Experience with GPS machine control and surveying technologies.
• Knowledge of soil stabilisation, deep excavations and infrastructure works.
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
