Corporate Property Manager

 

The Role

The successful candidate will provide expertise, advice, and support in relation to statutory, regulatory, and operational governance requirements affecting property assets. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, property teams, and external agencies to support property transactions, estate planning, compliance, and strategic property initiatives.

This role requires a self-motivated professional who can work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert property management advice and support across a large property portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with property governance, financial regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Manage and assess property acquisitions, disposals, leases, licences, and related transactions.
  • Support property strategy, estate planning, portfolio optimisation, and policy development.
  • Administer property business case submissions and support governance review processes.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders on property matters.
  • Oversee property data, reporting, auditing, and performance monitoring activities.
  • Support implementation and management of property systems and databases.
  • Contribute to capital planning, sustainability initiatives, and audit programmes.
  • Manage property-related risk, compliance, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and responses to stakeholder queries.
  • Deliver training, mentoring, and guidance to property management teams.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in strategic projects, working groups, and other property-related initiatives as required.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Level 8 (or higher) qualification in Surveying, Estate/Property Management, Property Valuation, or an equivalent qualification; or membership of SCSI or IPAV.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in property management, estate management, surveying, valuation, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in property acquisitions, disposals, lease renewals, rent reviews, valuations, and negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of property law, statutory obligations, and governance requirements relating to property transactions.
  • Experience with planning legislation, zoning regulations, development plans, and land/property rezoning processes.
  • Excellent valuation, negotiation, and commercial property management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of property procurement methods and estate portfolio management.
  • Experience working within large and complex organisations; public sector or healthcare property experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, report-writing, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Full access to appropriate transport and willingness to travel as required.
