Job Description

EHS Advisor – Limerick (Full-Time, Permanent)
Salary: €42,000 – €59,000 DOE

We are currently recruiting an EHS Advisor on behalf of our client, a leading electrical and mechanical contractor delivering major projects across Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company with a strong reputation for quality, safety, and innovation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project teams in maintaining the highest standards of environmental, health, and safety compliance across multiple sites in Limerick and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice, guidance, and support on all EHS matters to management, employees, and subcontractors.

  • Lead by example and promote a strong safety culture across projects.

  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments, preparing corrective action plans where necessary.

  • Prepare and maintain project-specific EHS plans, inductions, and RAMS.

  • Investigate incidents thoroughly to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.

  • Deliver EHS training sessions and ensure all workforce training records are up to date.

  • Collaborate with clients, main contractors, and internal teams to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.

  • Prepare regular KPI reports, maintain accurate safety documentation, and attend EHS coordination meetings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within electrical, mechanical, or construction sectors.

  • Diploma (NFQ Level 8) in Occupational Health & Safety and NFQ Level 6 in Environmental Management (or equivalent).

  • Internal auditor certification for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

  • Experience with construction regulations, EHS management systems, and subcontractor management.

  • Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.

  • Safe Pass, First Aid, Train the Trainer, and other relevant industry certifications are advantageous.

  • Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel to project sites as required.
