Job Description
EHS Advisor – Limerick (Full-Time, Permanent)
Salary: €42,000 – €59,000 DOE
We are currently recruiting an EHS Advisor on behalf of our client, a leading electrical and mechanical contractor delivering major projects across Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company with a strong reputation for quality, safety, and innovation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project teams in maintaining the highest standards of environmental, health, and safety compliance across multiple sites in Limerick and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide advice, guidance, and support on all EHS matters to management, employees, and subcontractors.

Lead by example and promote a strong safety culture across projects.

Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments, preparing corrective action plans where necessary.

Prepare and maintain project-specific EHS plans, inductions, and RAMS.

Investigate incidents thoroughly to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.

Deliver EHS training sessions and ensure all workforce training records are up to date.

Collaborate with clients, main contractors, and internal teams to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.

Prepare regular KPI reports, maintain accurate safety documentation, and attend EHS coordination meetings.
Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within electrical, mechanical, or construction sectors.

Diploma (NFQ Level 8) in Occupational Health & Safety and NFQ Level 6 in Environmental Management (or equivalent).

Internal auditor certification for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Experience with construction regulations, EHS management systems, and subcontractor management.

Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Safe Pass, First Aid, Train the Trainer, and other relevant industry certifications are advantageous.

Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel to project sites as required.
