Electrical Service Engineer – Water & Wastewater
Location: Naas, Co. Kildare (covering Leinster)

 

Crewit Resourcing is hiring an Electrical Service Engineer to join our team operating across the Leinster region.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations
  • Service, calibrate, and maintain on-site instrumentation and monitoring equipment
  • Install, wire, commission, configure, and fault-find electrical systems including variable speed drives (VSDs), DOL starters, and star-delta starters
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on motors, pumps, dosing equipment, control panels, and associated instrumentation
  • Read, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical schematics and control panel drawings
  • Verify electrical signals to and from PLCs for plant control functions, ensuring reliable system operation
  • Liaise with Project Supervisors, Managers, and site teams to agree electrical solutions and support site implementation
  • Support electrical upgrading, repair, and compliance works across multiple live operational sites
  • Complete reporting, documentation, and job records using standard computer-based systems

Requirements

  • Qualified electrician holding recognised electrical trade certification
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in an industrial environment, ideally within the water or wastewater treatment sector
  • Strong technical knowledge of three-phase motors, pumps, dosing pumps, and related electrical systems
  • Proven experience working with pumps, motors, dosing equipment, controllers, control panels, and instrumentation
  • Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and fault-find electrical systems in live plant environments
  • Experience interpreting electrical schematics and diagnosing control panel faults
  • Familiarity with PLCs, automation, and telemetry systems deemed an advantage
  • Good understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach
  • Competent IT skills for reporting and communication
  • Full EU/Irish driving licence with flexibility to travel across the Leinster region
