- Execute planned maintenance, rebuilds and post-repair commissioning.
- Use OEM diagnostics and service literature; produce accurate service reports.
- Advise customers on repairs, parts and preventive actions; aim for first-time fix.
- Work safely on active sites; manage tools, van stock and parts returns.
Training & development (Germany – OEM)
- OEM engine training in Germany via specialist academy programmes.
- Access to running engine test cells and simulators for advanced diagnostics.
- Progressive modules aligned to large industrial/mobile powertrains.
What you’ll need (must-haves)
- Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic/Fitter (Irish-recognised or equivalent).
- Strong field background with heavy engines—ideally one or more of: Cummins, Liebherr, Caterpillar, MTU, Detroit.
- Advanced diagnostics/troubleshooting (mechanical & electronic).
- Excellent English and customer-facing communication.
- Full, clean driving licence; flexibility for nationwide travel and overtime/call-outs.
Nice to have
- OEM training/credentials on any of the brands above.
- Experience on crane powertrains or large industrial/mobile plant.
- Safe Pass/CSCS, MEWP, Rigging/Slinging, Working at Height.
What’s on offer
- Very competitive compensation with overtime.
- OEM training in Germany with exceptional engineers; clear upskilling path.
- Strong, well-financed employer with a long-term commitment to quality and support.
