Job Title: General Foreman
Location: Co. Dublin
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: €65k - €80

Overview:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Foreman to lead the delivery of a major residential construction project in Co. Dublin. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations on site, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency are maintained. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the on-site team and support the timely handover of completed works in line with programme expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and enforce on-site health and safety practices, ensuring full compliance at all times

  • Monitor project timelines and report on progress regularly, proactively managing any delays

  • Attend and contribute to daily coordination meetings to maintain alignment across the site

  • Conduct ongoing inspections to ensure high-quality standards and immediate resolution of issues

  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and groundworks or civils teams

  • Maintain clear and safe site logistics, including vehicle and pedestrian routes

  • Oversee the delivery of all works from groundworks to second fix, including landscaping and boundary features

  • Utilise software to manage labour, material movement, and site machinery

  • Uphold site cleanliness, security, and overall organisation

  • Facilitate a smooth transition of work to the Finishing Foreperson, meeting all programme milestones

  • Work closely with the engineering team on accurate waste management and environmental compliance

  • Promote a positive and professional site culture with a focus on quality and stakeholder satisfaction

Candidate Profile:

  • Background in a relevant construction trade preferred

  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality projects within demanding timelines

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and take full responsibility for on-site operations

  • Effective team player with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage relationships

  • Capable of overseeing multiple tasks and maintaining high productivity across site activities

  • Proactive, reliable, and driven to maintain high standards at all times
