About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Operative to support the Maintenance Department at Portlaoise Hospital. This is a part-time position for 15 hours per week on an initial 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance trades personnel with day-to-day activities.
• Carry out basic maintenance and housekeeping duties.
• Move materials, equipment, and furniture as required.
• Ensure work areas are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
• Support the maintenance team in delivering efficient site operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, or general operative role.
• Good practical skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting.
