General Operative / Groundworker / Site Dumper Driver

Crewit Resourcing is recruiting skilled General Operatives / Groundworkers / Site Dumper Drivers for multiple Flood Protection and Drainage projects throughout County Kerry. These roles involve supporting civil engineering, drainage, embankment, and concrete works across urban, suburban, and riverine environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general groundworks: excavation, pipe laying, ducting, concreting, kerbing, paving, and backfilling
• Assist with installation of drainage systems, culverts, headwalls, embankments, and flood defence components
• Operate site dumpers and small plant safely and competently
• Handle materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring efficient workflow
• Set up work areas, fencing, signage, and traffic management as instructed
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and site cleanliness
• Work collaboratively with Operatives, Machine Drivers, Engineers, and Forepersons
• Follow all safety procedures, attend toolbox talks, and report hazards

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil engineering, groundworks, drainage, or flood defence projects
• Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling
• Relevant plant training/tickets (Dumper, Roller, Teleporter, Chainsaw etc.)
• Ability to undertake physical outdoor work in varied weather conditions
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and productivity
