We are hiring experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Mechanics to join leading transport and logistics companies across Ireland. This role focuses exclusively on HGVs (rigid and articulated trucks), not plant or yellow machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine servicing, inspections, and maintenance of HGVs.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
• Prepare vehicles for CVRT (Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Test).
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Attend roadside breakdowns when required.
• Collaborate with workshop teams and service managers.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an HGV mechanic.
• Recognised trade qualification (e.g., National Certificate, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
• Experience with Scania, Volvo, DAF, or similar brands preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Good working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Valid driving licence (Category B required; Category C/CE is an advantage).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
