Job Description

We are looking for an experienced IT Helpdesk Technician to help a variety of clients diagnose and solve IT issues. Alongside assisting building future-proof, secure technology solutions, you will provide first-line Microsoft and Windows support over the phone, email and chat channels.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting a variety of clients with Level 1 technical support queries, diagnosing issues and solving problems via phone, email and chat.
  • Microsoft 365 administration, strategy and configuration, utilising the entire suite of products to full potential. This includes Intune, Defender, Exchange and Azure.
  • Proactively improving clients’ technology stacks.
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Proactively monitoring Microsoft 365 tenancies to identify and solve potential issues before they occur.
  • Onboard new starters to Microsoft 365, including setting them up and training.
  • Ensuring cyber security initiatives are maintained and rolled out correctly, including ongoing monitoring.
  • Liaising with approved IT suppliers to procure IT equipment.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office 365 administration – including Exchange, SharePoint, Azure Active Directory and account administration and architecture.
  • Intune and Entra ID management & configuration.
  •  Cloud experience – Azure and AWS, particularly AVD + S3.
  • Possess an in-date Microsoft 365 Certified certification, or if not, have at least 2 years Microsoft admin experience and be required to complete your Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals certification before starting.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Proven experience as a Support Engineer or similar role, preferably within the IT services industry. Previous use of a ticket system (FreshDesk, ZohoDesk, Jira etc).
  • Comfortable with talking to people in a support capacity, providing assistance and training where necessary
  • Flexibility to occasionally work outside regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, when required.
  • Process-orientated, comfortable following routines and SOPs to complete the job.
  • High attention to detail and a problem-solving attitude.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
