Job Title: Land Surveyor
Location: Ireland (Site-Based)
Reporting To: Senior Engineer / Project Manager

Role Overview

Crewit Resourcing is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor to support the delivery of major civil engineering, infrastructure, residential, commercial, and data centre projects across Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting topographical surveys, setting out works, producing accurate survey data, and supporting project teams throughout all phases of construction, operating  across road infrastructure, soil stabilisation, basement excavation, residential developments, commercial projects, and major infrastructure works.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out topographical, as-built, and engineering surveys.
  • Establish and maintain project control networks.
  • Perform setting out for roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, foundations, and structures.
  • Operate and maintain surveying equipment including GPS/GNSS, Total Stations, and digital levels.
  • Process and analyse survey data using industry-standard software.
  • Produce accurate survey drawings, reports, and documentation.
  • Verify design information and report discrepancies.
  • Support site engineers and project managers with survey and technical requirements.
  • Monitor construction progress and produce as-built records.
  • Ensure all work complies with project specifications, health and safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
  • Assist with quantity measurements and earthwork volume calculations.

Requirements

  • Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years' experience in land surveying within construction or civil engineering projects.
  • Experience on civil engineering, infrastructure, roads, earthworks, utilities, or residential developments.
  • Proficiency with Leica, Trimble, or Topcon surveying equipment.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, LSS, Trimble Business Center, or similar software.
  • Strong understanding of coordinate systems and surveying techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Experience on large-scale infrastructure, data centre, or commercial projects.
  • UAV/drone surveying certification.
  • Knowledge of machine control systems and GPS-guided earthworks.
  • Familiarity with BIM workflows and digital construction technologies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
