About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Low Loader Driver with Machine Transport experience to join their growing team. This role involves the safe and efficient transport of construction machinery, including excavators and diggers, to various project sites across Ireland. This is a key position requiring a high level of professionalism, strong driving skills, and experience in handling heavy plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a low loader vehicle for the transport of heavy plant machinery
• Load and unload construction equipment (e.g. diggers, excavators, dumpers) securely
• Ensure all loads are properly secured and compliant with road safety regulations
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues
• Plan routes efficiently, considering road conditions and delivery schedules
• Deliver and collect machinery from client sites in a timely manner
• Complete all relevant documentation (delivery dockets, logbooks, etc.)
• Maintain high standards of health & safety at all times
• Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients

Requirements

• Valid CE (Articulated Truck) Driving License
• Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Proven experience operating a low loader and transporting heavy machinery
• Experience loading/unloading plant equipment safely
• Strong knowledge of Irish road transport and safety regulations
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Desirable (Not Essential)

• Safe Pass certification
• CSCS / plant handling tickets
• Experience working in construction or plant hire industry
• Mechanical knowledge of plant equipment
