Job Description

Job Title: Pipefitter

Overview

We are seeking experienced and skilled Pipefitters to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems according to specifications and industry standards. This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and the capability to work efficiently within a team and independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping specifications
  • Measure, cut, thread, bend, and install pipes using various tools and equipment
  • Lay out, assemble, and install piping systems for water, gas, steam, chemicals, and other industrial systems
  • Install valves, supports, hangers, and associated piping components
  • Inspect and test piping systems using hydrostatic, pneumatic, and other testing procedures
  • Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, and system malfunctions
  • Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with welders, plumbers, and other trades on-site
  • Maintain tools and equipment in proper working conditions
  • Follow all health & safety regulations and site protocols

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Pipefitter in construction, industrial, or mechanical environments
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings and schematics
  • Proficiency with pipefitting tools (threaders, benders, cutters, grinders, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of piping materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, PVC, HDPE, etc.)
  • Knowledge of industry standards and relevant codes (ASME, ANSI, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred (but not required)

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Journeyman Pipefitter, NCCER, CSCS, SafePass, etc.)
  • Welding experience or qualifications
  • Experience in commercial, industrial, or oil & gas projects

Working Conditions

  • Full-time position
  • Site-based work; may involve travel depending on project location
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required based on project demands
