About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Plumber to support the Maintenance Department on an initial 3-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance works across the hospital site while ensuring minimal disruption to patients, staff, and services.

Previous experience working within a hospital, healthcare facility, or other live operational environment would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing maintenance, repairs, and installations.
• Diagnose and rectify faults within water, drainage, and heating systems.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive works.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of completed works.
• Work effectively within occupied clinical and non-clinical environments.
• Liaise with maintenance management and hospital personnel as required.

Requirements

• Recognised Plumbing trade qualification.
• Previous experience in maintenance and repair environments.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in healthcare, public sector, or live environments is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full right to work in Ireland.
• Ability to satisfy pre-employment compliance requirements, including Garda Vetting.
