Job Description
Project Manager – Industrial & Civil Construction
Location: Co. Kilkenny
Crewit Resourcing is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead an Industrial and Civil Building Project in Co. Kilkenny.
The Project Manager will have full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from inception through to completion. Acting as the primary point of contact for the Client, the role will involve managing programme, cost, quality, safety, and resources while leading site teams and coordinating all stakeholders involved.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of communication with the Client, providing regular progress updates and addressing queries
- Manage daily construction operations from start to finish
- Produce, manage, and achieve the Project Programme
- Ensure works are carried out in accordance with specifications, drawings, and agreed schedules
- Lead, motivate, and manage the site team to achieve timely and cost‑effective project delivery
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
- Gather client input and provide recommendations on design solutions and material selections
- Manage the appointment and coordination of subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers
- Estimate project costs, prepare budgets, and manage cost control using appropriate software (e.g. Excel)
- Monitor procurement, labour, plant, and materials expenditure to maintain project profitability
- Review and approve subcontractor payment applications and invoices
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, environmental regulations, and quality standards
- Implement and enforce site safety systems, conduct safety meetings, and prevent incidents
- Identify and resolve design, budget, scheduling, and construction issues proactively
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to define and achieve project goals and deliverables
- Address and rectify quality issues or deviations from specifications promptly
Requirements
- Proven experience in the construction industry in a Project Management, Construction Management, or Project Engineering role
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline (desirable)
- Strong track record of successfully delivering construction projects
- Demonstrable experience managing design, budget, and programme challenges
- Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and regulations
- Strong project planning, organisation, and execution skills
- Proficient in project management software and setting‑out equipment
- Excellent leadership and people‑management skills with the ability to manage diverse teams
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- High level of problem‑solving ability and attention to detail
