Quantity Surveying Adviser
Location: Dublin
Contract Type: Agency contract with potential to become permanent
Role Overview
The Quantity Surveying Adviser will provide professional cost, procurement, contractual, and commercial advice to support the planning, management, and delivery.. The post plays a key role in ensuring value for money, compliance with public procurement regulations, and the successful delivery of healthcare infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional QS advice across all stages of capital projects
- Support planning, budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting
- Manage procurement of design teams, contractors, and professional services
- Oversee cost management pre- and post-contract
- Ensure compliance with Procurement Regulations
- Support delivery of major and minor healthcare capital projects
- Monitor project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost risks
- Certify and approve contractor and consultant payments
- Advise on claims, variations, delays, and final accounts
- Promote value for money, sustainability, and energy efficiency
- Contribute to policy development, cost databases, and reporting structures
- Act as part of multidisciplinary project teams
Eligibility Criteria
Essential:
- Level 8 (or higher) degree in Quantity Surveying (SCSI / RICS accredited or equivalent)
- Registered or eligible to register as a Quantity Surveyor under the Building Control Act 2007
- Full membership or eligibility for membership of SCSI or RICS
- Minimum 7 years’ post-qualification experience in a contractor or consultancy environment

- Strong knowledge of construction cost management and procurement
- Experience with public sector capital projects and CWMF contracts
- Excellent financial, reporting, and risk management skills

Salary
€79,877 – €99,696 per annum (as at 01/02/2026)
(New appointees start at minimum point; incremental credit may apply)
