Senior Technical Project Manager (Construction / Capital Projects)

About the Role
Crewit Resourcing is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex capital and infrastructure projects. This role involves managing projects from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to drive project performance across both major and minor developments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of major capital construction and refurbishment projects
- Develop detailed project briefs in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Manage design, procurement, tendering, and contract processes, project timelines, budgets, and resources effectivel
- Oversee contractors and design teams throughout project lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and approvals
- Monitor financial performance, forecasts, and expenditure
- Identify risks, resolve issues, and mitigate delays
- Present project updates and financial reports to senior stakeholders
- Coordinate across project teams, consultants, and end users
- Lead project meetings and consultation processes
- Ensure effective communication throughout all project stages
- Support commissioning and handover of completed projects
- Manage delivery of smaller capital works projects
- Develop maintenance programmes for buildings, equipment, and services
- Oversee contractors delivering maintenance and upgrade works
- Support property management activities and asset planning
- Assist in evaluating infrastructure condition, capacity, and utilisation
- Contribute to maintaining asset registers and project records
- Monitor energy usage and identify efficiency improvements
- Support delivery of energy-saving initiatives and sustainable solutions
Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree (Level 8 or equivalent) in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or Surveying
- OR professional membership (e.g. Chartered Engineer, RICS, CIOB, etc.)
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in:
- Construction / project management
- Building design or delivery
- Mechanical & electrical systems (advantageous)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong project and programme management skills
- Proven experience managing budgets and timelines
- Knowledge of construction regulations and building standards
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong leadership and team coordination ability
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
