Crewit Resourcing is currently seeking a Site Engineer to join a our client is the construction, residential, commercial, civil, and infrastructure client. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional looking to further develop their career within a dynamic and fast-paced construction environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of construction projects, ensuring works are completed safely, accurately, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with project managers, site management teams, subcontractors, and design professionals to support successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out accurate setting out using GPS, Total Station, and surveying equipment.
  • Establish and maintain site control points and benchmarks.
  • Verify dimensions and levels against project drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure construction works are completed in accordance with approved plans.
  • Monitor project progress and report potential delays or issues.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and site activities to maintain programme targets.
  • Assist in achieving project milestones and deadlines.
  • Conduct quality inspections throughout construction phases.
  • Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and testing documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Identify and assist in resolving technical issues.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture on site while ensuring compliance with all company safety procedures and regulations.
  • Participate in site audits, inspections, and toolbox talks and assist with risk assessments and method statements.
  • Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, prepare and update technical documentation and as-built information.
  • Liaise with consultants, clients, and design teams on technical matters.
  • Support project handover through the management of project documentation.

 

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Site Engineer role.
  • Strong setting-out experience using Total Station, GPS, and surveying equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction-related software.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Full clean driving licence.

Desirable

  • Experience on residential, commercial, industrial, or civil engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
  • AutoCAD and project management software experience.
  • Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification.
  • First Aid certification.
