Civils Operative – Groundworks & Hardstanding

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Civils Operatives to join our team. This role focuses on groundworks, hardstanding installation, concrete works, and the installation of precast components. You will work on a variety of civil engineering tasks in a demanding construction environment, contributing to high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out hardstanding works, including dry mix installation.

• Perform minor kerbing installation and associated finishing works.

• Undertake general civils groundworks, including excavation, levelling, and preparation of sub-bases.

• Execute concrete works on site, including pouring, finishing, and curing.

• Work from drawings and site instructions to ensure accurate installation in line with project specifications.

• Install precast and prefabricated components.

• Collaborate with site teams to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to required quality standards.

• Maintain a clean and organised work area, following all health and safety protocols.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Civils Operative in industrial, data centre, or large-scale construction projects.

• Demonstrated experience with hardstanding works (dry mix installation) and general groundworks.

• Experience with concrete works on site, including placement and finishing.

• Competence in minor kerbing installation.

• Ability to work from drawings and site instructions.

• Experience installing precast or prefabricated components.

• Strong understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites.

• Physically fit for manual work in outdoor conditions.

• Fluent English with the ability to communicate effectively on site.
