Stonemason 

Location: County Kerry
Pay Rate: €24.50 per hour

Crewit Resourcing is seeking an experienced Stonemason / Plasterer to join its construction and heritage works team in County Kerry, supporting both new-build civil engineering works and restoration/maintenance of existing structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality stonemasonry and plastering works on modern and heritage structures
• Dress, cut, shape and install natural or reconstituted stone
• Perform restoration, repair, and new-build work using lime mortars and traditional materials
• Install plaster finishes, stone details, mouldings, and structural stonework
• Work from technical drawings, specifications, and supervisor instructions
• Prepare work areas and ensure compliance with all safety procedures
• Maintain accurate work records and support OPW quality standards
• Operate small plant and access equipment where authorised

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in stonemasonry and/or plastering
• Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling
• Proven ability to work on both heritage and modern construction projects
• Strong knowledge of lime mortars, natural stone, and traditional building methods
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishes
• Ability to interpret drawings and work to precise tolerances
