Crewit Resourcing is hiring a Wasterwater Engineer for our client in the wastewater infrastructure industry, specialising in MEICA design, build, operation, and maintenance, delivering solutions such as wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, precast concrete tanks, and environmental systems. They serve residential, municipal, and industrial sectors across Ireland and the UK.

Role Overview

This position is ideal for an engineer with experience in wastewater or MEICA engineering who wants to take ownership of full project cycles—from design through to commissioning. You will contribute to the development of wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, precast components, and associated infrastructure.
  • Produce engineering design reports, proposals, tender documents, risk assessments, and project schedules.
  • Generate technical drawings, specifications, and material schedules.
  • Provide technical input for risk assessments and contribute to safe, compliant project delivery.
  • Work closely with production, finance, technical sales, and operations to drive projects from initial concept to final completion.
  • Assist with cost estimation, value engineering, and supplier/subcontractor coordination.
  • Support both technical and managerial aspects of projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Contribute to the evolution of sustainable wastewater solutions and off‑site manufacturing practices.

Requirements

  • Experience as a waterwater engineer
  • Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or similar Engineering discipline
  • Proficiency with CAD software and related design tools.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience in MEICA
  • Experience with process design calculations for wastewater treatment systems (e.g., hydraulic loading, pump sizing, aeration requirements) to support development of WwTPs and pumping stations
  • Proficiency in interpreting and applying industry standards related to MEICA works, wastewater treatment, and precast infrastructure
