Workshop Floor Manager

Location:Trim, Co. Meath

Overview

The Workshop Floor Manager is responsible for the daily supervision and coordination of all workshop activities, ensuring production targets, quality standards and delivery schedules are achieved safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day workshop operations.
• Supervise CNC operators, machinists, assemblers and workshop personnel.
• Allocate resources and labour across production activities.
• Monitor productivity and workflow efficiency.
• Ensure all work is completed to required quality standards.
• Coordinate with Production Management regarding project priorities.
• Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage material usage and minimize waste.
• Support recruitment, training and development of workshop staff.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a workshop supervisory role.
• Experience within joinery, carpentry manufacturing or fit-out production.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to read drawings and production schedules.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
